As an artist, I’ve always explored creativity through canvas, colour, and texture. Over the years, this path has taken me into new spaces some expected, some beautifully surprising. One of those is Tuuli.

This thoughtful Japanese clothing brand resonates deeply with how I see life and art honest, intentional, and full of quiet beauty. As their Design Consultant, my role is to help shape how Tuuli enters the Indian market. I work closely with the team to adapt silhouettes, styling cues, and context, so the garments not only carry their Japanese soul but feel completely at home in India. It’s about blending the legacy of their craftsmanship with a sense of ease, movement, and joy that feels right here.

Elevating the Everyday

This isn’t just about comfort. It’s about an effortless style that meets you where you are, in your routine, in your mood, in the life you’re living right now. The clothing is light, practical, and intentionally designed to make you feel both relaxed and put-together. Think: comfort with a touch of flair. Fabric with Soul, Woven in Japan

The magic begins with the fabric. It’s crafted on highly specialised looms, the kind you rarely see anymore machines that weave with precision, intricacy, and care.

Each intersection of warp & weft yarns holds decades of expertise, something you can truly feel when you wear it.

For the first time, these exceptional fabrics are being brought to India by Pooja, introducing a legacy of Japanese craftsmanship to a new world. While the fabric is made in Japan, the final design and styling take shape here in India blending two cultures into one timeless piece.

There’s a calm confidence in how our designs are shaped. The silhouettes are fluid, anti-fit, age-less, and made to move with you. They don’t chase trends. They settle into your wardrobe as pieces you’ll reach for over and over again, clothes that speak softly, but stay.

This part always felt like home to me. There’s no waste. Every shred of leftover yardage is thoughtfully reimagined into something new, something useful, beautiful, and lasting.

Where Art Meets Fashion, Gently

This collaboration isn’t just fashion. It’s an extension of my art. The textures, palettes, and stillness in Tuuli’s clothes remind me of my own practice.  

There’s a kind of zen minimalism here, like the feeling I had while painting my red Rothko-inspired piece: zen, meditative & minimalistic. Tuuli brings that same calm to wardrobing. Clothing that lets you pause on a busy day.
